LRP Weapons Details
and Safety Information

The construction method of all these weapons is to start with a Carbon Fibre core, which has none of the issues that can be found with fibreglass or PVC tubing, both of which may shatter, splinter and become dangerous. Carbon Fibre has weight for weight a greater strength than steel.

Covering this is SPX 33, a close cell, cross-linked Polyethylene foam, and is free from CFC's and HCFC's. The 33 stands for its density, being 33 kg/m3. It's medium density, so it both retains its shape well, as well as being capable of deforming upon impact and returning to true form quickly. The foam is injection moulded into specifically made moulds, which provides for a safe, secure and 100% contiguous foam, without weak spots or seams.

At the tips, kevlar is used to ensure that there is no chance of the core breaking through the foam and latex covering.

The foam is covered in a number of layers of latex, hand painted, and then coated in a protective layer, providing protection from moisture and other natural elements.
